Project ROPB
Project ROPB! A facelift to something old.
Yeah, painted my room together with my 2 brothers and his girlfriend. 4 person to paint a room, not easy though.
We each choose one color for each face of the wall. My 2 brothers decided on cozy orange and spectrum red. I decided on a sassy pink (the pink similar to my bag). The final color black is decided by the 3 of us as a common color.
Of course, the idea is cool. 4 colors in a room!
We browse through the Nippon Paint catalogue to select the color we desire then make a trip down to the Nippon Paint distributor at Century Square to spend some money. Suprisingly, all they have is white paint! HAHAHA! Actually it's a new technology. Tell them the color you want and they will custom blend it for you using computer. That's something I never really saw before.
To paint a room, we need the tray, masking tape, roller and brushes too! All these add up to near $80. WOW! It's within our budget of $100. Didn't expect it to cost below $100 yet the auntie still say our room is expensive. -.-"
The pre-painting job is tiring too. We need to cover all the things that is not supposed to be painted. Example: air-condition, fan, window grill, powerpoint, cupboard. Then we need to make space for loads of painting. Beds need to be shift, items need to be cleared to make way for 4 person in a small room.
After 5 hours of hardcore painting, the result is quite satisfactory although my parents commented it off as "kanasai". Hey, it's our first time painting. Perhaps my last time too. Super tiring job. I can't imagine painting the whole house, I might faint on the spot.
Now, the color isn't really cool. Imagine having 3 bright colors in your room and 1 black color on a big wall. Might cause headache on some people due to the strong color. Quite dazzling. Nevermind, we will get used to it soon.
Project ROPB is quite a success without any help from my parents. Yes, they just watch. Not even helping to wash the equipments. Painting job is no fun.
Painted on 11 December 2006 (Sunday).
