Majulah Singapura

Do you understand the pledge? Do you understand our national anthem?

If you don't understand the meaning behind the pledge and the national anthem, you should seriously move yourself to another country which you can understand.

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY
SINGPAORE!

42 years of independence isn't something we should be contented with but it's something we should be proud with. It's our forefather that worked so hard to build up Singapore from scratch and it's us to maintain it.

Many people (biased view and no satistics) dislike singing national anthem because it's too monotonous. I guess most country's national anthem are boringly slow. You can't expect R&B and rapping in an anthem right?

As for pledge, most people (biased view and no satistics too) are just reciting it without truly comprehending the meaning behind it. What to do. National education is a failure.

This year NDP is very different other than the fact that I'm still watching it 'live' from my television set.

Because our dear National Stadium is tearing down to make way for a new sports complex, NDP this year is held at Marina. Singapore is proud to introduce the world largest floating platform. At first I was worried that the floating platform will collapsed but Singapore indeed live up to its high engineering standard.

Not being able to join in the celebration with the other crowd is indeed a waste. Blame it on the balloting system that didn't gave me the tickets. Squeezing with other human along Marina and Esplanade is not my type. Nevertheless, it's exciting to watch it on TV too!

Majulah Singapura!
