Windows Vi.... XP!

What is the main benefit of Windows Vista over Windows XP other than vector icons?

Security? Are you really sure that Windows Vista is safe? How safe?

This is not the first time we've mentioned a Windows Vista crack, and it won't be the last, but now a hacker group known as NoPE somehow managed to create a cracked Windows Vista DVD that works immediately, out of the box, with no serial number or activation keys required. Just like some of those corporate versions of Windows XP that worked for years, the hacked Vista product appears to be already activated and it even automatically updates itself with the latest patches.

Bao Fa demonstrated the power of Windows Vista to me on his powerful laptop a few months back. He mentioned that Windows Vista prevents the editing and creating of files from unknown program unless you run it with administrator privilege. Of course, this is... cool! If people are so intelligent in the first place, they would have scan the file for virus first and then take precaution.

Another great thing is the visual tooltip. Not really very useful but at least you can have a preview first before clicking on the application on the taskbar. Guess what? My Windows XP has this too! I installed VTP (Vista Transformation Pack) and there's this cool Visual Tooltip application that comes with it.

Windows Vista Start menu is incomparably amazing. Just press the Windows button (to launch the Start menu) and start searching for what you want. Really simple. For example you want to launch System Restore, just press the Windows button and start typing restore. Once you see your result, press enter and it will launch the program. Now, there's this program named ViStart that can do the job equally well on Windows XP. My Start menu now looks like that from Windows Vista.

Not forgetting the cool glass theme from Windows Vista too! Aero Glass. This is one of the most useless feature in Windows Vista but without it, your Windows Vista will look so dead. It's basically a translucent effect on the title bar and its edges when not maximized. I must admit that it's nice. The taskbar also blends in with your desktop wallpaper too. My recommendation, install WindowBlinds 5.5 and go search for a Windows Vista theme on DeviantArt. Easy right?

When you installed VTP, it will come bundle with Windows Vista icons and a new clock on your system tray to suit the theme. Not forgetting Windows Vista's user pictures, wallpapers and screensaver.

Flip 3D is getting tricky here. A little search on the Internet revealed that TopDesk 1.4.2 can do the Flip 3D for Windows XP but it's not free. Anyone can help me with this? EDIT: Installed the full version of TopDesk 1.4.2 on my laptop minutes ago. Now I have Flip 3D!

Hail my Windows XP with Windows Vista look and performance.
