Dark Blur

"Dark Blur" is a new term I came up with because I don't know the real medical name for it. It means someone who will get really blur and lost when the surrounding is dark. "Lost" in this context means mentally lost, not physically lost.

I realised that I'm have Dark Blur during field camp. When the sunsets and the place is dark, I almost can't think logically or at least concentrate. Sometimes, I will get nervous and frustrated easily. Note that I'm not scared of dark, it's different!

Luckily I have my (already tired out) buddy there to guide me if not I will not get the right things done at the right time. Come to think of it, he's more calm in the dark. Oh perhaps I'm the only Dark Blur guy around.

Why Dark Blur? I think it's because I'm not used to being in a very dark place. Although you still can see your fingers in the dark but it's really different from a urban area where you can see lights every 3m while walking down the streets. Makes me wonder how did I manage to lead my section through the forest during a night walk. It's not about courage, it's about BLUR!

Maybe I should have more night life to get myself used to the dark. To me, dark surrounding means sleep. Nothing else. Need to remedy my "illness" of Dark Blur if not..... I will forever be blur in the dark.

P.S. Thank you, Thomas Edison.
